The course integrates movement with health education, focusing on topics such as

Students learn how to make informed choices and develop lifelong habits that contribute to a healthy and active lifestyle.
Unit 1: Foundations of Healthy Active Living
Students learn the fundamentals of physical activity and fitness.

Student success in PPL2O is measured through participation, reflection, and practical application:
  • 70% of the final grade is based on daily engagement, skill development, and unit assignments.
  • 30% of the final grade is based on final evaluations:
    • 10% Culminating project (health portfolio or fitness reflection)
    • 20% Final exam on health concepts and wellness planning
All evaluations follow Ontario curriculum expectations and aim to equip students with the tools to maintain physical and emotional well-being throughout their lives.
